Local Scenes of Puerto Vallarta

Who doesn’t love a vacation on an all-inclusive beachside resort? You just get your wristband and enjoy the unlimited meals and margaritas and press the pause button on life if only for a few days. The pristine coastlines of Mexico have no shortage of lavish resorts filled with leisure travelers, but the real magic is venturing out into the everyday localities. My recent trip to Puerto Vallarta, MX was nothing short of amazing. The resort, the beaches, downtown, old town, the small mountainous villages, and of course the food and people. Here's where it all began:

The resort:

Sights of downtown and old town

Free tequila tasting? Yes please. I bought access to a private beach adventure and ended up getting a free city tour that included tequila tasting and lunch at Rancho Verano Distileria de Tequila. Nestled in a small mountainous town in Las Juntas Del Tuito, the drive up was very reminiscent of driving up the hills of Malibu. There were beautiful condos and resorts overlooking the Pacific Ocean, tempting me to forget my life in Los Angeles and move to peace and serenity.

Private beach adventure

My last full day in Puerto Vallarta included a private beach adventure to Las Caletas. With only 4 hours on the beach, I was able to cram in kayaking, paddle boarding, cooking classes, animal encounters, and a step-up activity that tested mental and athletic ability. I wish I could’ve stayed on this beach forever. Pure paradise.
