The Southern California Landmark you Didn’t Know you Needed to See

Los Angeles is such a huge city, not to mention the surrounding areas. I decided that I want to start discovering popular and less popular attractions and sites and create photo diaries as I go. I figured if I’m going to pay this much rent, I better take advantage of what my city has to offer. Right? So the first site I can strike off my L.A. bucket list is Salvation Mountain. Although located in Niland, CA which is about 3 hours from L.A., it still counts as a surrounding area, barely. Here it is:

If you don’t want to take a 3 hour drive just to see the mountain, make a weekend trip out of it by staying in nearby Palm Springs or Joshua Tree. Make it a reason to get out of the city.
