5 Decor Styles and the Plants that Match

If you haven’t learned by now, I am a huge advocate of having plants in your home. They make your home bright, cozy, and warm. There are so many benefits of having plants. I’ve had a few people ask me how I pick plants to put in my home. When plant shopping, there are times when I try not to mindlessly pick plants without thinking of where I will place them, where they will fit, do they go with my aesthetic, etc. Then there are times when I pick a plant solely on the basis of its beauty and vibe. My personal style is very eclectic and bohemian and I have plants of every kind. However, as I dig deeper into this plant game, I have become aware that some plants tend to mesh well with particular decor styles. I’ve gathered a list of 5 different decor styles and the plants that match….in my opinion.

style: industrial plants: trailing plants, rubber plant

style: bohemian plants: bird of paradise, monstera deliciosa, palm

style: coastal plants: dracaena, palm

style: mid-century modern plants: peace lily, fiddle leaf fig, sansevieria

style: rustic/farmhouse plants: ferns, zz, ivy
