5 Ways to Refresh your Space for Spring
It feels good to have Winter lingering away and Spring upon us. Spring brings ideas of rejuvenation, regrowth, and revival. For me, it also means a time to refresh my home. For some reason, it feels that this Winter was an extremely long season and a total refresh is much needed. I've compiled a list of budget-friendly ways to refresh your space for Spring, whether you live in a house, apartment, or dorm. I've done this for my space and hopefully these ideas will spark the interior designer in you.
1. Rearrange furniture
Rearranging the furniture in your space can give you a new perspective and make you feel like you have a new space. A simple move of that shelf unit to a different wall or even creating that reading nook can give that refreshing feel you're craving. If you're not in the mood to put on your designer hat and completely change your space, just move a few pieces. Even rearranging just a few pieces will bring that feeling of newness to your space.

2. New bedding
If you've had that same fall-colored inspired comforter or duvet, it's time to refresh. Some light colors in you're bedroom can brighten your mood, especially on those mornings where you can't bear the idea of getting out of bed. As someone who also dreads leaving my comfy, warm bed in the mornings, trust on me on this. When I open my eyes to see the brightness around me, it helps a little more.
3. Wall art/wallpaper
Wall art for your space is essential in my opinion. Wall art makes your space feel homey, no matter what art style you're into. Wall art gives you a chance to express your personal style as well. Wallpaper is also a great option to add to those walls, especially in small spaces to help set the mood.
4. Buy fresh blooms
It might seem simple but putting fresh flowers in your home makes a difference. The lovely colors and fresh scent will make you feel better every time you look at them. Your local grocery store is a good place to buy some blooms. I personally buy fresh flowers at Trader Joe's during my weekly grocery runs.
5. Get some plants
Last, but most definitely not least. Get some greenery! As the proud plant mama of 12 beautiful plant babies, I can't stress enough how much plants can make your space fresh, literally. It's scientifically proven that plants can purify the air and increase oxygen in your home. I personally believe that they make my space cooler in those summer months, but that's just my theory. Springtime is the best time to get new plants, as this is the growing season. My plants had a rough Winter, but now they are starting to bloom new foliage. It's exciting to watch plants grow from Spring to Spring. So refreshing!
