6 Must-Visit Places in Portland and Seattle

I can finally cross off two places that have been on my domestic bucket list, Portland and Seattle. The two cities did not disappoint and were everything I thought they would be. I’ve been wanting to go to the Pacific Northwest for about a year now and my boyfriend and I finally decided to treat ourselves to the experience. Here are the highlights of our getaway:

Portland

Multnomah Whiskey Library

Blue Star Donuts

Of course I’ve heard of Voodoo Doughnut shop, however, the goal of this trip was to live like a local and the locals taught us about Blue Star donuts instead. The donuts were delicious!

Cartopia

After donuts came the real food. Portland is known for its food cart scene and we went to Cartopia in the Hawthorne area.

Hey Love

After lunch at Cartopia, we headed to Hey Love for drinks. When I saw this plant-filled bar on Instagram, I knew it had to be on my list of places to go. I wasn’t disappointed.

Seattle

An overnight trip to Seattle consisted mostly of visiting the first Starbucks along with the Reserve and Tasting Room. As a coffee lover, this experience was amazing. Besides loads of coffee tasting we explored Seattle by walking miles of downtown streets and found Seattle to be one of those cities that makes you feel all warm, inspired, and full of opportunity inside.

Starbucks on 1st and Pike.

Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room.

Whether your vice is whiskey, coffee, or plants the PNW has a place for you.
